2007-09-23, Limbus Farming

When? Sunday Sept. 23rd @ 6:30pm EDT (5:30pm CDT, 4:30pm MDT, 3:30pm PDT)
Where? Gather together in Jeuno
What? Limbus
Why? Introductory Farming

Last weekend, we got 4 more people to sea, so this weekend, we want to introduce everyone to Limbus.

We wont be trying to beat any particular Limbus area, instead, we will be using the experience to:

  • 1) Farm Limbus items
  • 2) Introduce people to how Limbus works
  • 3) Get people accustomed to working and operating in Sea and Limbus

Be sure to get a Cosmo Cleanse in Jeuno before the event (you can wait until just before the event).

We will discuss during the week which actual Limbus we will try, and post it in this thread.

Good first run

I wasn't expecting much on our first run, but we did better than I thought we would.

I will be out of town next weekend, so the next run will be in two weeks.

There was quite a bit of confusion tonight regarding how Limbus works (obviously, people didn't read up on it like I asked them to :-) so I will be making some posts this week explaining how they work as well as how the loot will be divided.

I'll try

I'll try and be there I need to find out what I'm doing this weekend

gather?

I would like to join you but why are you gathering in Sealions den? You can warp to the area you want by going through the tele crags. I can bring DRK RDM SMN just let me know which you need. :)

Darkkit

Sealion's den

Heh... because I just cut and pasted the stuff from last week and modified it :-)

Good catch, I'll fix it.

Limbus areas

There are many Limbus areas we could try, however, seeing as this will the first time for most everyone, I vote we do one of the following:

Both are fairly easy ones and can be beaten in small groups (i.e., once our group gets proficient at these, we likely could beat these).

My leaning is towards SE Apollyon as the first 2 floors can actually be trio'd by a NIN, THF and RDM.

At any rate, before hand please please please read up on Limbus. Especially read the rules. I really don't want to have to keep going over these things every week, so everyone needs to read them now.

EDT

Updated the time to EDT (since EST was causing some confusion).
